eMedica S.L. was founded by Vicomtech on May 25th 2004, aiming to offer hospitals services and products with an added value in information technologies applied to medicine. This way, eMedica markets Vicomtech’s R&D projects, identifying new projects to improve diagnosis and medical therapies, working in co-operation with hospitals, clinics and health centres in general.
eMedica's main fields of activity are Medical Information Systems, Telemedicine, Medical Image Treatment, Computer Assisted Surgery, and Radiotherapy. The applied technologies are telecommunications, security, computer graphics, Virtual and Augmented Reality, 3D medical image processing, data extraction, medical image analysis and manipulation, telemedicine, tracking and optical systems, simulation, and others. |
