In nowadays market, several applications propose solutions to the automatic generation of 3D elements from 2D data. However, they have high costs and low efficiency. We propose a novel approach based on the use of semantics. We focus on the semantic load that can be added or extracted from a 2D element via its properties in order to infer an equivalent 3D object that is different depending on the domain.
We will develop a series of tools running in a commercial CAD package and a prototype that shows the possible different techniques we will develop along the project. |

The aim of TEBAS is to design and develop a low-cost platform for outdoor television productions. This new system would be very appropriate for those events without such a big audience that would not justify the actual inversion the outdoor realizations demand. The information regarding the event will be still broadcasted to the viewers but at lower cost in comparison with big and important events such as football league. |

ZEBRASCREEN |

The ZEBRASCREEN project aims at developing a quantitative microplate based whole animal high-throughput screening platform for evaluating drug effects and drug toxicity. The platform requires advanced image analysis methods for automated identification and classification of phenotypes. Such methods should allow to quantitatively measure complex phenotypes from thousands of images in a high throughput manner. |
